My story
It all began with my passion for organizing weddings. I was increasingly asked by friends to be master of ceremonies. Planning a wedding is often a lot of work and can be quite stressful. I enjoyed helping people with this and take away their stress. And this experience still comes in handy a lot today. Not long after that, I had the honor of marrying my own sister and brother-in-law as an wedding officiant, which was so special!
I have been associated with the municipality of Alphen aan de den Rijn as a BABS since 2020. As a certified wedding officiant I am allowed to perform marriages in almost all municipalities in the Netherlands. In addition to my work for the municipality, I work on behalf of MarryElle as an independent wedding officiant and ceremony speaker and I am quite proud of this magical job.
In my spare time I like to be outside in our garden (I love plants), enjoy a nice walk in nature and discover new places in the Netherlands. Texel is my favorite island and I have a weakness for animals, preferably having my own petting zoo one day. Cleaning and tidying makes me happy, a strange trait of mine. A nice glass of wine in the sun also makes me very happy. Preferably with good music and some chips. Another thing that makes me happy: beautiful cars. I like to be on the road and that works out well with this job.
Until the end of 2022, I worked as a Hospitality Manager and was responsible for the Facilities Department of a large company. I am hospitable, helpful and like to make sure everything runs smoothly. No problem is too crazy for me and is solved with a smile.
Now I'm going to focus on what makes my heart beat faster and what makes me shine when I talk about it (I've been told).
Starting in 2023, I'm going to focus solely on weddings, brides, speeches, ceremonies and most importantly: love!
